PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet applying apparatus which positions and pastes an auxiliary sheet to an adhesive sheet and pastes the adhesive sheet, with the auxiliary sheet between the adhesive sheet and a body to which the adhesive sheet is applied. SOLUTION: The sheet applying apparatus includes an adhesive sheet supplying means 2 for supplying the adhesive sheet S1; a sheet pasting means 4 including a first holding means 3 for holding the adhesive sheet S1; an auxiliary sheet supplying means 5; a second holding means 6 for holding the auxiliary sheet S2; a transferring means 7 for transferring the auxiliary sheet S2 supplied from the auxiliary sheet supplying means 5 to a predetermined position of the second holding means 6; a moving means 8 for supporting the second holding means 6 so as to be movable; and an outputting means 9 for externally outputting a signal when a corresponding relationship between the adhesive sheet S1 and the auxiliary sheet S2 cannot be verified. The auxiliary sheet S2 is positioned and pasted, with part of an adhesive layer A exposed outside the auxiliary sheet S2. Then, this is attached to merchandise W to be delivered.
