<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device, stably applying enough oil to a fixing member or the like according to the kind of a record medium; and to provide an image forming apparatus using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: a fixing belt 12 rotatably provided; a pressure roller 13 abutting on the fixing belt 12 to form a fixing nip part N for fixing toner on a sheet; and an oil applicator 21 having an application roller 23 rotated at an optional rotational speed by the driving force supplied directly or indirectly from a driving motor 28b independent of the other driving systems to thereby apply oil to the fixing belt 12 and an oil supply part for supplying oil to the application roller 23, wherein the rotational speed of the application roller 23 is changed according to the kind of the sheet to adjust the oil application quantity to the fixing belt 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
