PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of causing clogging of a nozzle of a head for ejecting a color recording liquid if black image printing is continued using a black recording liquid. SOLUTION: When an input image is black, an image is formed using K-ink, and at least one color ink is used at the same time. The amount of K-ink used per unit area is set to 40-100% of the case of recording the image of the same density using a single K-ink color, and the amount of ink used of each color other than the K-color per unit area is set to 2-20% of the case of recording the image of the same density using the single K-ink color.
