PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic packaging machine manufacturing a self-standing packaged body irrespective of the type, size and shape of an article to be packaged. SOLUTION: The automatic packaging machine includes a bag making device 14 forming a strip film 11, which is continuously drawn out, in a cylindrical shape, a center seal device sealing overlapped ends of a cylindrical film formed in the cylindrical shape, and an end seal device disposed on the downstream side of the center seal device, and sealing and cutting the cylindrical film in the width direction thereof. On the upstream side of the bag making device, a second film folding device 50 is provided which folds the strip film in the direction orthogonal to the direction of movement thereof.
