The plate (1) has multiple planar sections (2-7) running to each other under inclusion of angles (alpha, beta) of less than 180 degrees, where the plate is profiled in a cross-section by the planar sections. The profiling is interrupted by multiple recesses (8, 9) extending into an angle inner space, where the recesses are formed in a longitudinal direction of the planar sections in series. The recesses are formed by a wall profile in the cross-section, where the planar sections are penetrated into the cross-section through the recesses. An independent claim is also included for a battery cell comprising an electrode plate.
