PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize detection error of an environmental sensor even in power-off and -on after image formation in order to further accurately acquire the external environment and perform control according to the environment. SOLUTION: The environmental sensor 33 is disposed between a suction port 32 and a sirocco fan 34, and includes an air duct for passing air sucked from the outside of a device by the sirocco fan 34 successively through the suction port 32, the environmental sensor 33, the sirocco fan 34, photosensitive drums 18 to 21, a cooling object such as an intermediate transfer belt 15, and an exhaust port 35 in this order.
