<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hygienic vacuum cleaner. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner comprises: an electrical blower 6 arranged in a body portion 2; a dust vessel 10 detachably arranged in the body portion 2 on the upstream side of the electrical blower 6 and having a top face opening portion 10b opening the top face and an inflow opening 10a opened on the periphery and making air flow in a tangent line direction; an inner cylinder 11 erected in the dust vessel 10 and having an opening portion 11a formed on the periphery and an inflow opening 11b opening the lower end, penetrating the bottom of the dust vessel 10, and making air in the dust vessel 10 through the opening portion 11a and the outflow opening 11b; a filter 12 provided in the opening portion 11a; a lid body 13 blocking the top face opening portion 10b and attachable to and detachable from the dust vessel 10; and a sweeping member 14 provided integrally with the lid 13 and moving, rubbing against the filter 12 when the lid body 13 is attached or detached.
