An automatic response type remote control system and its method are provided to perform remote controlling and monitoring through an established communication network at a remote area by additionally installing only an image monitoring device. Outlets(210) are connected with a power source. A contact point switching unit(202) turns on/off power of the outlets(210). A wireless transmitting/receiving unit(201) is wirelessly connected with an automatic response type remote control device(100). A controller(204) controls power of the outlets(210) according to a received control signal. A communication network connection terminal(101) is connected with a remote communication unit(501) through a communication network. A remote signal detector(106) interprets a key input signal from the remote communication unit(501). A controller(108) controls a digital outlet(200) according to the interpreted remote signal. A wireless transmitting/receiving unit(109) is wirelessly connected with the digital outlet.
