<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus capable of improving an S/N by increasing amplification gain of an output signal, while restraining an increase in a circuit size. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging apparatus includes: a pixel section 1 where unit pixels are arranged two-dimensionally; and a noise suppression circuit 3 that is connected to a vertical signal line for outputting a pixel signal arranged for each pixel column and includes a clamp capacitor for generating a pixel signal corresponding to the difference between a reset signal voltage of a pixel and a signal voltage. In this case, the adjacently arranged clamp capacitors in the noise suppression circuit are connected in parallel to read the pixel signal for increasing the amplification gain when reading a signal.
