<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the unevenness of face luminance of the light cast to a liquid crystal display panel from a back light in a liquid crystal display device having the back light disposed with light sources set up at the upper and lower parts of a display region. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device comprises a liquid crystal display panel, a light transmission plate having a light exit region superposed on a display region of the liquid crystal display panel, and the first light source and second light source disposed across the light exit region of the light transmission plate. The light transmission plate has a number of reflection dots in the light exit region. The occupancy rate of the reflection dots per unit area within the light exit region is maximized nearer the first exit light incident position side than a mid point of a first light incident position where the light from the first light source is made incident on the light transmission plate, and a second light incident position where the light from the second light source is made incident on the light transmission plate. In addition, the occupancy rate is smaller the nearer the first light incident position or the second incident position from the position where the occupancy rate is maximized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
