摘要 #CMT# #/CMT# The rotor (1) has a cylindrical sheath (3) that is coaxial to a cylindrical turbine (2) and encloses the turbine. The turbine is mobile around a vertical axis and has vanes that extend in radial manner. The sheath has a vertical opening (4) provided on a part of a height of the sheath, for permitting the penetration of the wind into the sheath to act on the vanes for driving the turbine in rotation around its vertical axis. A deflector (5) allows the penetration of the wind through the opening of the sheath. The deflector is situated on an edge of the opening. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Vertical axis rotor e.g. savonius rotor and darrius rotor, for transforming wind energy into mechanical energy or electrical energy. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The utilization of the sheath permits the rotor to transform the wind energy into mechanical or electrical energy with high efficiency, while preventing the vanes from being slowed down or braked by the wind. The rotor generates reduced noise and does not create acoustic nuisance even if several rotors are installed in a predetermined zone, while allowing to utilize the wind energy in an economic manner, with high efficiency. The rotor can be implemented in a simple manner and is in phase with the environment. The rotor has a compact structure, can be placed in a reduced space and provides a material economy for reducing production cost of the turbine. The rotor permits to generate large quantity of energy with respect to its dimensions.
