Provided is a compact mobile terminal including a relatively large number of keypads at a narrow footprint in a panel constituting the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal provides means of two novel schemes for allowing the key pad operations to input letters by hardly minding the simultaneous inputting of correct key pads corresponding to the correct letters intended for the inputting by the user and/or the adjacent key pads including those correct key pads. A first scheme utilizes that the electric device of that mobile terminal stores and records the information history (such as the simultaneously inputted portions, the correct letters corrected and inputted, or the information of frequency). A second scheme utilizes that the diagonal line of a rhomboid is longer than the side of a square of the prior art. If the diagonal line of a rhomboidal key pad turned by 45 degrees from the square key pad of the prior art is placed horizontally and vertically with respect to the two lines of sight of the user, the easiness to adjust the fingers to the key pads can be drastically improved. Moreover, the ordinary mobile terminal has the square shape entirely in its keyboard portion. If the rhomboidal keypads are arranged in the keyboard and if keypads of other shapes are arranged around the former keypads, it is possible to arrange the easily adjusted keypads far more than those of the prior art.
