<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is controlled with a suitable set value, according to transfer paper in image formation processing and having versatility, regardless of the manufacturer of the transfer paper and can set more realistic image forming conditions. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a set value storing means for storing set value data which is suitable for image formation according to a paper type for each respective product name for setting an action controlling value setting means which stipulates image forming action conditions and a product name acquisition means for acquiring the product name of the transfer paper, and includes a function of acquiring set value data which are suitable for each respective product name of the transfer paper, from a remote managing system which can carry out remote control of a plurality of image forming apparatuses via a communication line and then storing the data to the set value storing means.
