PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD POSITIONING MECHANISM

Printed circuit board (PCB) positioning mechanisms can be employed in an electronic module, such as an electronic or optoelectronic transceiver or transponder module. The PCB positioning mechanisms enable completely automated positioned and securing of a PCB within an electronic module. The PCB positioning mechanisms also eliminate the need to secure the PCB with screws or other fasteners, thus decreasing assembly cost, assembly time, and assembly complexity, and can avoid assembly problems associated with manufacturing tolerances and tolerance stacking between components of the electronic module.
