PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for conveying plate-like bodies which improves the shock-absorbing effect by a member with end faces of the plate-like bodies being abutted thereon, well regulating the motion of the plate-like bodies to be stored and protecting ends of the plate-like bodies, and has the excellent durability when the plate-like bodies such as glass substrates are stored in a stacked state. SOLUTION: The container A for conveying formed of a synthetic resin foam which stores a plurality of the plate-like bodies in a stacked state with a protective sheet being held between the plate-like bodies, comprises an upwardly opened container body 1 and a lid body 2. Abutting members 4, 5 and 6 with end faces of the stored plate-like bodies being abutted thereon are added to a plurality of parts of inner surfaces of sidewalls 11a-11d of the container body 1, and these abutting members are formed of a material of the elasticity lower than the container bodies 1 and the density higher than that of the container bodies 1, for example, a foam of low ratio expansion.
