PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an EL display device capable of attaining cost reduction and image quality securement compatibly.

SOLUTION: As for the active-matrix driven EL display panel where power supply lines for supplying current to EL emitters located in pixel regions are active matrix driven with a binary potential, the EL display panel has a wiring structure where the power supply lines extending in a horizontal line are electrically connected in the unit of a plurality of continuous rows. In this circuit configuration, the plurality of power supply lines can use a binary drive signal in common. Accordingly, the number of output stages of the drive circuit is reduced to one n-th of that necessary in the manner to drive the power supply lines for every horizontal line.
