METHOD FOR GENERATING CORNEAL ENDOTHELIAL CELL FROM TISSUE STEM CELL/TISSUE PRECURSOR CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-originated transplantation material to be used for therapy of corneal endothelial injury.

SOLUTION: A method for generating corneal endothelial cell from living body-originated cells is provided. The method comprises (a) a step for performing suspension culture of mammalian tissue-originated cells to form spheres, and (b) a step for adhering the spheres or the sphere-forming cells to a culture substrate and culturing the same in the presence of a transforming growth factor β2(TGF-β2) to induce differentiation of the same to corneal endothelial cells.
