<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate protective film excellent in polarizing plate processability and having low hygroscopicity, transparency, high heat resistance and improved brittleness, processibility of a polarizing plate and a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizing plate protective film having a haze value of <1% includes a layer containing at least one hydrophilic polymer compound on a resin film comprising an acrylic resin (A) and a cellulose ester resin (B) in a mass ratio of 95:5 to 30:70 and in a compatible state, wherein the acrylic resin (A) has a weight average molecular weight Mw of ≥80,000 and the cellulose ester resin (B) has a weight average molecular weight Mw of ≥75,000, a total substitution degree (T) of acyl groups of 2.0-3.0 and a substitution degree of 3-7C acyl groups of 1.2-3.0, and has <1% haze value.
