PURPOSE: A method for operating an Internet shopping mall based on ordered designs and a system for the same are provided to enable a seller to make/sell products based on the ordered design by enabling a buyer to easily select/order a detail design for the desired product to the Internet shopping mall. CONSTITUTION: Buyer PCs(110-120) are connected to the Internet. A seller server(200) is connected to the Internet, previously stores information for the products and various kinds of image data, and transfers a web page including a basic design and menu items to change the basic design if the buyer PC selects the product. If the menu item is selected, the seller server changes the product design by responding to each selected menu item and calculates/transfers a product price matched with the changed design to the seller server.
