<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for converting laser intensity distribution which converts intensity distribution of laser beams that are nearly parallel beams while maintaining parallelism, and which can cope with a high-output laser. <P>SOLUTION: The laser beams that are nearly parallel beams are made incident on a rectangular prism 3 and totally reflected on an inclined surface. A convex surface of a convex lens 4 is opposed to the inclined surface of the rectangular prism 3 at a short distance in which evanescent light is generated, so as to obtain internally reflected light having laser intensity distribution in accordance with shape of the convex surface of the convex lens 4. By dynamically or statically displacing at least one of two optical element 3 and 4, the laser intensity distribution is freely adjusted. Since a total reflection phenomenon is utilized, the device can cope with the high-output laser. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
