PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording apparatus can reduce image recording processes which are forced to waiting for by an interrupting phenomenon which interrupts the image recording processes to be successively executed based on a plurality of job information, a method for controlling the image recording apparatus and program. SOLUTION: An image recording part 15 successively performs the image recording processes based on a plurality of the job information informed from a higher level apparatus. An order setting controlling part 21 determines the timing of generation of the interrupting phenomenon for interrupting this recording process on the way based on a plurality of the job information informed and the information of the image recording apparatus. Based on the result of the determination, a setting of the order of the processes of the image recording processes based on a plurality of the job information is changed.
