<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of reading a spin state of one donor nucleus in a semiconductor crystal. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A donor arranged in a crystalline floating gate region is irradiated with monochromatic light resonating with only a specified nuclear spin state (step 3) to detect a change in a drain current.
