PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake warning device can instantly ascertain earthquake information to rapidly take actions in preparation for the development of a quake. SOLUTION: The earthquake warning device includes a location information acquiring means, a receiving means for receiving an emergency earthquake report, and a clocking means. The earthquake warning device further includes an earthquake information acquiring means for calculating, from location information, current time, and the emergency earthquake report, a predicted seismic intensity and a margin time until a main movement of an earthquake reaches. The earthquake warning device further includes a countdown LED 14 which is composed of a plurality of light emitting devices (LED 14a, 14b, 14c) of a different color arranged in a row inside a displaying casing and at the periphery of a displaying panel 3, and a controlling means for controlling the countdown LED 14. The controlling means presents, in an earthquake displaying mode, the margin time by lighting a certain number of the countdown LED 14 corresponding to the time at which the main movement of an earthquake reaches.
