The method involves subjecting a sample (16) with a temporary constant heating output in a linear thermal control station (18). A time dependent temperature difference is detected between a temperature measuring station (20) in a distance (D1) for the thermal control station and another temperature measuring station (22) in another distance (D2) for the thermal control station in time points, where detection of the time dependent temperature difference occurs in a logarithmical equidistance.
