PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a method of displaying a screen therein are provided to implement a preview function for a certain screen conveniently by using sensing and releasing functions of proximity-touch. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(151) displays a first screen, and a sensing unit(140) senses the proximity-touch point on the display unit. When a pointer approaches and touches the first screen, a controller(180) displays a second screen. When the proximity-touch is released, the controller controls makes the second screen disappear to restore the screen to the first screen. The controller displays the second screen in the case of the proximity-touch on a certain region of the first screen.
