A CAR INFORMATION READING SYSTEM AND A CAR INFORMATION READING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A system and a method for reading car information are provided to obtain a basic material of a car by storing color information and image information of the car as data. CONSTITUTION: A camera(10) photographs a vehicle moving on the road with color images. A central processing unit(20) extracts the license number information of the vehicle from the image photographed by the camera. A reprocessing unit(30) is comprised of an algorithm for a central processing unit and the other algorithm and extracts the license number of the vehicle from the images. The central processing unit and the reprocessing unit are integrated. A storage stores the image of the vehicle if the license number of the vehicle is not extracted in the central processing unit. A color extracting unit(24) extracts the color of the vehicle from the image.
