A mobile communication terminal and an operation method thereof are provided to store virtual MMS(Multimedia Messaging Service) data including a file path connected to MMS data instead of storing the MMS data, when an additional storage command is applied for the temporarily stored MMS data, thereby efficiently using a memory space. A memory(20) stores an MMS message. If an additional storage command is applied for MMS data included in the MMS message, a controller(10) controls so that virtual MMS data including a file path set to be connected with the MMS data is stored in a particular area of the memory. If the virtual MMS data is executed, the controller controls so that the MMS data is called and executed along the file path included in the virtual MMS data.
