The system has rotatable heads (5, 6) comprising different rollers (7) for exerting pressure on a covering sheet (1). The rollers are mounted in the corresponding heads in a rotatable manner for selectively arranging one of the rollers in a working position according to shapes of base pieces (2) to be covered. The heads are mounted on a common support structure (12) using supports (10, 11), and are displaced on the support structure so as to be placed in adequate positions with respect to the base pieces.
