PURPOSE: A PEO surface treating apparatus for a magnesium alloy product is provided to reduce unnecessary anions and anionic particles by attaching a part of the anions and the anionic particles on the surface of a filtering member. CONSTITUTION: A PEO surface treating apparatus for a magnesium alloy product includes a container(2), a jig(4), and a filtering member(10). A metal plate(3) connected with a cathode is put into the container. The jig connected to an anode detaches a plurality of magnesium alloy products(1). The filtering body is made of aluminum alloy materials. The filtering body has a shape in which electrolyte passes through. The electrolyte is trisodium phosphate and sodium hydroxide.
