PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to remove a need of forming a black mask for light leakage prevention on an opposite substrate, thereby obtaining an aperture ratio of a pixel. CONSTITUTION: A polarizing plate converts incident light from the outside to linear polarized light. According to a voltage, a liquid crystal controls a transmission state of the linear polarized light. A linear polarizing axis of the polarizing plate is set in a direction inclined against a scanning line(12). An end part of a line(30) is inclined in a direction in parallel with or vertical to the linear polarizing axis. |
