PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately recover rotation when a brushless DC motor of an internal fan can not be rotated by freezing inside during a cooling operation. SOLUTION: The presence or absence of the rotation of the brushless DC motor 3a as a driving motor of the internal fan is detected during the cooling operation by a refrigerating cycle of a refrigerator. When the rotation is not performed, the refrigerating cycle is stopped, and electric power supply to the brushless DC motor 3a is stopped. Then the electric power is supplied to a defrosting heater 6 for a time required, so that the brushless DC motor 3a is heated by heat generation by the electric power supply and ice inside is melted. After the lapse of the time required, the refrigerating cycle is driven again and the electric power is supplied to the brushless DC motor 3a.
