PURPOSE: A membrane electrode assembly for a fuel cell is provided to ensure uniform water repellency, excellent electrical conductivity, and good mass transfer function and electron transport function. CONSTITUTION: A membrane electrode assembly(1) for a fuel cell comprises an anode(3) and a cathode(5) which are faced with each other, and a polymeric electrolyte membrane(2) positioned between the anode and cathode. The anode and cathode comprise catalyst layers(34,54) and diffusion layers(31,51) respectively. At least one diffusion layer of the anode and cathode comprises a carbon nano structure surface-treated with fluorine. |
