A pouch type secondary battery is provided to predict the venting of gas generated from the inside thereof when the battery is exposed in overcharging or at high temperature, and to improve the safety of battery. A pouch type secondary battery includes at least one safety vent to at least one electrode tabs(20,20') extended from an electrode assembly(10). The safety vent is at least one microhole(50). The safety vent comprises a safety device(60) vented under constant pressure. The electrode tap is a positive electrode tab or a negative electrode tab and at least one kind of al plate selected from the group consisting of copper, aluminum, nickel, chrome, silver, and platinum. |
