PROCESS FOR PREPARING CYCLOHEXANONE

PURPOSE: A process for preparing cyclohexanone is provided to simplify a reaction process by simultaneously proceeding hydrogenation and dehydrogenation in one reactor, and to effectively control the reaction heat of a high temperature generated during hydrogenation. CONSTITUTION: A process for preparing cyclohexanone comprises a step of performing hydrogenation and dehydrogenation of phenol in the presence of a catalyst. An inactive solvent is further added together with the phenol. The catalyst comprises palladium and sodium as an active component. The hydrogenation and dehydrogenation is performed by one-step continuous process using a fixed bed type reactor.
