A wiring material (30) for forming a stator wire (20) includes slot housing portions (40) to be disposed in the slots (14 and 15) of a stator core (12), and turn portions (42) protruding from the slots (14 and 15) to the outside of the stator core (12) and connecting the slot housing portions (40) disposed in the circumferentially different slots (14 and 15). The turn portions (42) are formed individually on the two axial sides of the stator core (12). A crank portion (44) followed by no torsion is formed at the substantially central portion of the turn portions (42). Step portions (46) are formed at the protruding portions of the turn portions (42) protruding from the slots (14 and 15) to the outside of the stator core (12). Moreover, the step portions (42) of the wiring material (30) individually have two step portions (48) formed between the crank portion (44) of the substantially central portion and the step portions (46) formed at the protruding portions of the turn portions (42). |
