<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack air conditioning system and a rack type air conditioner suitably used as an air conditioning system for an information-communication machine room using both of ambient air-conditioning and local air-conditioning. <P>SOLUTION: This rack type air conditioner 8 as a local air conditioner is disposed near a server of high internal heat generation. An indoor unit 8a includes a front fan 8d inside thereof, and a bottom fan 8f at its lowermost section. A part of the air of high temperature discharged from each server is taken by the rack-type air conditioner 8, cooled by an evaporator 8e to be cold air, and blown out to a cold aisle 6a by the front fan 8d. Here, the air is mixed with the cold air from an air conditioner 4, and sucked to each server rack. A part of the cold air produced by the evaporator 8e is distributed to a double floor space 5c by the bottom fan 8f, mixed with the cold air supplied from the air conditioner 4, and supplied to a cold aisle 6a through a perforated panel 5f. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
