The present invention relates to an apparatus for treating marine growth on a surface. The apparatus comprises a confinement arrangement which is arranged to confine a volume of heated fluid adjacent a portion of the surface to be treated, such as a ships hull. Fluid is introduced into the volume via an entry port through a wall of the confinement arrangement. In order to facilitate even heating throughout the volume, the entry port is arranged so that the heated fluid is directed in a dispersed fashion.
