PURPOSE: An application needle, an application apparatus employing the same, a defect amending apparatus and an application method are provided to easily coat the liquid materials. CONSTITUTION: An application needle(1) attaches a liquid material to a front terminal part and applies the liquid material by contacting the front terminal part with a substrate. A tapered portion(2) is formed at the front terminal part which becomes narrow towards the front terminal part. A flat plane(3) is formed in the front terminal part. A liquid material supply unit is formed, which accumulates the liquid material and supplies it to the front terminal part.
