<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video composition device capable of uniforming and minimizing the occurrence frequency of "frame disposal". <P>SOLUTION: A composition timing generating section 3 sets composition start timing that a total time required to wait for an output from when frame data for a plurality of channels are stored in a frame memory 2 to when composition is started by a video composition output section 4. Specifically, the composition timing generating section 3 calculates to determine one of the reference channels which provides the smallest total time required to wait for the output.
