<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fusing glass by which it is inhibited that a first glass member or a second glass member is over-heated and damaged. <P>SOLUTION: In fusing the glass member 4 to the glass member 5 by irradiating a glass layer 3 with a laser beam L2 along a region R to be fused, a crystallized area 8 is preliminarily formed in each bent part 3a of the glass layer 3. Since the crystallized area 8 exhibits laser absorbance lower than that of the glass layer 3, the glass layer 3 is gradually heated when the laser beam L2 is moved along the region R to be fused, while the glass layer 3 is gradually cooled when the laser beam L2 is moved along the region R to be fused. By virtue of the above constitution, each bent part 3a of the glass layer is inhibited from being over-heated to damage the glass members 4, 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
