<p>In a storage medium (100), an upper soft layer (120a), an exchange connection control layer (120b), and a lower hard layer (120c) are provided in a recording layer (120). In the storage medium (100), only the upper soft layer (120a) of a portion positioned between data tracks is deleted, the deleted portion is filled with a non-magnetic member, and thus a guard track is manufactured. Further, it is effective in terms of reducing noise to inject an ion such as Ar and N2 to the deleted portion of the upper soft layer (120a) using a mask and the like and allow the lower hard layer (120c) with the exchange connection control layer (120b) to be non-magnetic before the filling with the non-magnetic member.</p> |
