<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas shielded arc welding method for a thin steel sheet, by which a stable penetration amount can be secured and a satisfactory weld bead with a high bead width can be obtained without causing any burn through upon welding even if a wire target position is varied in the case particularly a lap joint part and a T joint part are welded at a high speed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Welding is performed using a solid wirecontaining 0.2 to 0.7% C, 0.05 to 0.2% Si and 0.2 to 0.5% Mn while applying a pulse in which pulse peak current Ip is 380 to 600A, pulse base current Ib is 30 to 80A, and the pulse peak current Ip[A] and the pulse peak time Tp[ms] satisfy inequality (1): 120≤Ip×Tp≤380 (1).
