PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and low-cost sheet feeder capable of preventing a sheet from skewing with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A sheet feeder includes a tray 50 on which a manuscript S can be placed with one side edge Sa of the manuscript S as a reference, a feeder to feed the manuscript S, a sensor 16 to detect the manuscript S, and a stopper 15 to regulate a tip position of the manuscript S when the manuscript S is placed. The feeder for the manuscript S includes a delivery part comprising a pickup roller 3 and a lifter 6, and a separator comprising a separation roller 5 and a separation pad 4. The feeder, the sensor 16, and the stopper 15 are disposed in this order from the one side edge Sa of the manuscript S toward the other side edge Sb. The stopper 15 is disposed at a position facing the center of a tip end of the manuscript S having the maximum width that can be placed on the tray 50. The sensor 16 is disposed at a position where the sensor can detect the manuscript S having the range between the maximum width and the minimum width that can be placed on the tray 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
