<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device that applies light stimulation to an applied person to effectively accelerate arousal of the applied person regardless of open or close condition of eyes of the applied person. <P>SOLUTION: In a lighting device comprising a plurality of light sources, the plurality of light sources include a first light source 11 emitting light having a spectroscopic component in a first wavelength band of 580 nm or higher, and a second light source 12 emitting light having a spectroscopic component in a second wavelength band of ≤580 nm. An optical transmittance of an eyelid is low in a wavelength band of ≤580 nm but high in a wavelength band of 580 nm or higher, so that the first light source 11, emitting light in a wavelength band in which the eyelid has a high optical transmittance is turned ON when an applied person is in an eye-close condition, and the second light source 12, emitting light in a wavelength band in which secretion inhibitory effect of melatonin is greater is turned ON when an eyelid-open condition, for example, thereby making it possible to apply light stimulation to the applied person to effectively accelerate arousal of the applied person regardless of open or close condition of eyes of the applied person. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
