<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide device for a boring instrument which easily guides a boring instrument. <P>SOLUTION: The guiding device for a boring instrument guides a boring instrument for boring a pilot hole in a pedicle, the pilot hole being used for embedding therein a pedicle screw. The device has a reference pin 3 used as a reference by being inserted into the pedicle from the rear to the front of the spine and an arm 4 extending sideward from the base end side of the reference pin 3. Guide holes 12 opened toward the tip position 3a of the reference pin and guiding the boring instrument are formed in the arm 4.
