PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology to improve the storage stability of gas hydrate and suppress the decomposition of gas hydrate during transferring, storing, etc. SOLUTION: By generating gas hydrate under existence of an electrolyte having a decomposition suppressing action over the gas hydrate, the gas hydrate can contain ions generated by dissociating electrolyte in a solution as a decomposition suppressing substance of the gas hydrate, thus having improved storage stability. As for the ions, the ion containing as a constituent an alkali metal element, an alkaline earth metal element, a halogen element, a nonmetallic element, a metallic element (except for the alkali metal element and the alkaline earth metal element), etc. can be mentioned, for example.
