PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle diagnostic system for enabling efficient communication without judging control information corresponding to an electronic control unit of a vehicle to be diagnosed for each diagnosis. SOLUTION: The vehicle diagnostic system comprises: a plurality of electronic control units for controlling or diagnosing a vehicle apparatus provided in the vehicle; a vehicle diagnostic terminal connected to the electronic control units; and an information server device for enabling information communication with the vehicle diagnostic terminal. The vehicle diagnostic terminal previously memorizes plural pieces of control information containing the information showing a procedure to control each of the plurality of electronic control units, judges control information corresponding to a particular electronic control unit under connection from among the plural pieces of control information previously memorized, accepts input of vehicle model identification information to identify the model of the vehicle, transmits to the information server device the inputted vehicle model identification information and the vehicle model information containing the judged control information corresponding to the electronic control unit.
