<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus configured so that either a right-handed person or a left-handed person can secure both operability of an operation unit and visibility of a display unit. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a U-shaped supporting member 14 is depressed, the tips of stoppers 18 are fitted and engaged with engagement grooves 14c of support pieces 14b, then, the member 14 is positioned in the depressed state. In this case, a boss 36 located on the left end of the display unit 11 is engaged with a notch 35 located near the left end of a first rack gear 31, and then, the display unit 11 is caught by the first rack gear 31. When a key operation section 12 is moved along a slide rail 22 in a left horizontal direction, the movement of the operation section 12 is transmitted to a second rack gear 32 via the first rack gear 31 and a transmission gear 34, then, the display unit 11 is moved along a slide rail 14a in a right horizontal direction. When the tips of the stoppers 18 are disengaged from the engagement grooves 14c of the support pieces 14b, the U-shaped support member 14 is returned to an original level by means of respective coil springs 17.
