The seat has a seat pad and a backrest (1) with support structure (11) for a backrest cushion. The back of the cushion supports a fold-down table and a pocket-like container (15) for printed matter (17), travelling accessories, etc. The container is formed by a hollow chamber in the support structure, which extends at least partially between the table and the backrest cushion, between the upper edge (11a) of the structure and a structure element (21) forming the container base (19). The top of the chamber is open towards the back for access.
