<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing apparatus in which a shaft part of an outer joint member of a constant velocity universal joint is stably integrated with a hub wheel through a rugged fitting structure over a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: A projecting part 35 provided at either one of an outer diameter surface of the shaft part 12 of the outer joint member of the constant velocity universal joint 3 and an inner diameter surface 37 of a hole part 22 of the hub wheel 1 and extended in an axial direction is pressed into the other along the axial direction. A recessed part 36 closely suitable for the projecting part 35 is thereby formed by the projecting part 35 to constitute the rugged fitting structure M wherein the projecting part 35 and the recessed part 36 are brought into close contact over the whole area of the fitting contact parts.
